Weekly family meal plans

Dinner, decided.

It’s 5pm. What’s for dinner? With Dinner Decided, that question is already answered — every Friday you get a new weekly plan: 5 seasonal weeknight dinners, complete recipes, and one consolidated shopping list, made for a family of 4. Healthy, a bit boujee, and still affordable.

A complete free week — 5 dinners, recipes, and the shopping list. No card required.

  • Weekly groceries for the 5 dinners run about $45–$59
  • Seasonal menus with a little flair — fresh herbs, pan sauces, bright finishes
  • Every dinner includes a vegan version and a “serve it their way” plate for little kids
  • Written for 2 adults + 2 small kids, with scaling notes

How it works

No new cooking system, no meals your kids won’t eat. Just the decision made once, on Friday, for the whole week ahead.

Start with the free week

Get the free sample week — a complete plan with 5 dinners, full recipes, and the shopping list. Cook one night or cook all five. If it works at your house, join and the full welcome library is waiting immediately.

Shop one list, once

Every plan comes with a single consolidated shopping list — every ingredient for the week, grouped by store section, quantities already added together. Cross off what’s in your pantry and shop it in one trip, at any regular grocery store.

Cook the week, decided

A new plan posts every Friday. Follow the smart swaps to save where it’s easy and the freezer flags to bank a meal for a harder week — then rate the dinners you cooked. The highest-rated ones come back in member-voted Greatest Hits weeks. Weekends stay open for leftovers, takeout, or whatever your family actually does.

What’s inside the membership

Everything is in the member area on Whop, available the moment you join — plus something new every Friday.

Every Friday

A new weekly plan

5 seasonal weeknight dinners (Monday–Friday) with complete recipes — full ingredients, amounts, and step-by-step instructions — plus one consolidated shopping list. Every dinner names its elevated touches (a pan sauce, crispy sage, a bright finish), includes a written vegan version, and carries a “serve it their way” plating line for little kids. Plans reuse ingredients across the week on purpose: buy it once, use it two or three ways, throw less away. Smart swaps mark the money-saving switches; freezer flags mark what freezes well. Every plan also includes an optional Weekend Table bonus meal — a more elevated weekend cook engineered to use up the week’s leftover perishables for a few dollars in extras. Rate the week’s dinners, and the top-rated ones return in member-voted Greatest Hits weeks.

Yours on day one

The welcome library

You don’t wait for Friday to start. Joining opens the full welcome library right away: 4 complete starter weeks with recipes and lists, the Pantry Staples List the plans assume you keep on hand, the Freezer-Prep Guide (including the Sunday 30-minute prep routine), and the Substitutions Chart for allergies, dietary swaps, picky kids, and the full vegan swap set.

Every month

A bonus pack

Once a month, members get a themed bonus pack on top of the weekly plans. Bonus Pack #1 is Freezer-Prep Sunday: 5 Freezer Meals in About 2 Hours — one session that puts chicken enchiladas, a beef stew bag, a chicken tortilla soup bag, 24 Italian meatballs, and 12 breakfast burritos in your freezer.

What this isn’t

Straight answers, because they matter.

Not a grocery delivery service

We give you the plan, the recipes, and the shopping list. You do your own shopping, at your own store — which is also why you keep full control of brands, quality, and prices.

Not a diet plan

Dinner Decided is not a weight-loss, medical, or therapeutic program. The plans are regular family dinners, and we don’t make health, calorie, or nutrition claims about them.

Prices are estimates

Grocery costs in the plans are realistic estimates based on Aldi/Walmart-level pricing in 2026. Your actual total will vary by store, region, and what’s already in your pantry.

It won’t cook dinner for you

It removes the deciding, the recipe-hunting, and the list-making. The cooking — about 30–45 minutes on a typical weeknight in these plans — is still yours.

Questions, answered plainly

How do the plans handle food allergies?

Every membership includes the Substitutions Chart in the welcome library. It covers dairy-free, gluten-free, and egg-free swaps, plus common allergies including nuts and soy — ingredient by ingredient, with amounts, right in the chart. The weekly plans themselves are written as regular family dinners and are not certified allergen-free, and ingredient labels change, so for a serious allergy, always check the label on the product you buy and use your own judgment. Many families with one restricted ingredient find the chart is all they need week to week; if your household manages multiple serious allergies, this may not be the right fit, and we’d rather say that plainly.

What if my kids are picky?

The plans are written for 2 adults and 2 small kids, and the food is real family food — tacos, pasta, soups, sheet-pan dinners, pizza night — with the elevated touches kept kid-manageable. Every recipe carries a “serve it their way” line for ages 2–5: how to plate that dinner deconstructed, what to serve on the side for dipping, which finishing touches to hold off a toddler plate, and the finger-food cuts that work. The Substitutions Chart has a picky-kid section too: how to make onions disappear into a sauce, how to swap green vegetables for the one your kid actually eats, and how to keep the pot mild and add heat at the table for adults. You will still meet a dinner a kid refuses. Every parent does. Most families find that having four other decided dinners that week makes the one miss a small thing.

What should I expect to spend on groceries each week?

That depends on your store, your region, and what’s already in your pantry, so treat this as a range, not a promise: for the 5 weeknight dinners in a typical plan, most families cooking for 4 should expect the weekly shopping list to come to roughly $45–$59 at Aldi/Walmart-level prices, on top of the pantry staples you keep on hand. (Our 12 banked launch weeks total $45.10–$58.38 each.) Seasonal menus are how that works — in-season produce is the cheapest produce in the store, and every plan is engineered so the perishables you buy get used up across the week. Weeks built around beans, pasta, and eggs land at the low end; the week with the salmon or the pot roast lands at the high end. Stocking the full Pantry Staples List from scratch runs roughly $75–$110 once — most households already have about half of it — and after that you’ll just replace a staple now and then.

Which stores are the shopping lists written for?

Any store. The lists are grouped by section — produce, meat, dairy, frozen, dry goods — in the order most grocery stores are laid out, and every ingredient is a standard supermarket ingredient. Prices in the plans are estimated around Aldi- and Walmart-level pricing, so if you shop somewhere pricier, your totals will run higher; if you shop sales at any store, they’ll often run lower. The list works the same either way.

When do new plans drop?

Every Friday. The new weekly plan posts in the member area on Whop on Friday, so you can shop over the weekend and start Monday with the week decided. The monthly bonus pack posts once a month, also in the member area. And you don’t need to wait for a Friday to begin — the welcome library, with 4 complete starter weeks, is available the moment you join.

What are the serving sizes, and can I scale them?

Every plan serves a family of 4: 2 adults + 2 small kids — usually with a little left over for a lunch. Scaling notes are in the welcome library and are simple: halve a recipe for 1–2 people (or make soups and casseroles whole and freeze half), multiply proteins and main vegetables by about 1.5 for older, hungrier kids, and double proteins plus add a side for 6. If your kids are between “small” and “teenager,” cook the first two weeks as written — you’ll see quickly which dinners need a little more at your house.

Are there vegetarian and vegan options?

Yes — built in, not bolted on. Most weeks include one or two naturally meatless dinners, and every dinner in every plan carries a “Make it vegan” line written for that dish: the specific protein swap, the dairy and egg replacements, and how the finishing touches translate — so the vegan plate is the same dinner, not a lesser one. The welcome library’s Substitutions Chart carries the full vegan swap set with amounts. The plans themselves are mixed family plans, not exclusively vegan plans; a fully vegan household would cook the vegan version most nights, and those versions are written to be dinners you’d choose on purpose.

How do I cancel?

It’s self-serve, and it takes about a minute. Log in to your Whop account, open your memberships, select Dinner Decided, and cancel there. No email to write, no call to make, no exit survey standing in the way. You keep full access until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and then the membership simply ends. If you joined at the founding price and later cancel, rejoining later is at whatever price is current at that time — the founding price is held only while a founding membership stays active.

What is the refund policy?

Because the welcome library — 4 complete starter weeks plus all the guides — is available in full the moment you join, membership payments are not refundable once a billing period has started, and cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If something goes wrong on our side — you’re charged twice, or you can’t access the member area after joining — contact us through Whop and we will fix it or refund it. That part is straightforward.

Can I buy a membership as a gift?

Yes, in a simple way. The cleanest route is to sign up on Whop using the recipient’s email address at checkout, so the membership and the member area are theirs from day one — just let them know it’s coming, since Whop will email them. If you’d rather keep it a surprise until a specific date, buy it close to that date: access (and the billing cycle) starts at purchase, not at first login. Gift purchases follow the same pricing — including the founding price, if a founding spot is still open when you buy — and the same cancellation and refund terms above.

Do I keep the plans if I cancel?

While your membership is active, you have access to the full archive of weekly plans, the welcome library, and the bonus packs in the member area. When a membership ends, access to the member area ends with it. Anything you’ve already printed or saved for your own household use during your membership is yours to keep using at home.

What equipment do I need?

Standard home kitchen equipment: a large skillet, a pot, a sheet pan, a 9×13 baking dish, and basic utensils. Some dinners use a slow cooker — those are always flagged in the plan, and most weeks include at least one — so a basic 4- to 6-quart slow cooker is worth having, but no plan requires specialty appliances, an Instant Pot, or anything you can’t buy in one ordinary store trip.
